Summary

State Roads' sign on Route 17 marking the Forest of Needwood, the estate of Thomas Sim Lee (1745-1819). Lee was Governor of Maryland, Delegate to the Continental Congress and member of the state convention, which ratified the U.S. Constitution in 1788. The sign is adjacent to Lee's Lane, where Governor Lee's Georgian home is tucked behind gates.
