Gloria Moore Crowl: My grandfather, John Moore, would walk down here everyday from his home on Brunswick Street. It was something he really looked forward to.

I remember those old rocking chairs, that place seemed so much bigger when I was a little kid. The glass cases had things in them that looked like they had been in there since the store opened. I remember there being old dusty shoes that people must have forgotten a long time ago. Nancy

Phil Lowery: I remember the old wood/coal stove in the back of the shop and there it is in the top photo. We had many shoes repaired by Mr. Harrington. It only cost 10 cents or so to get shoes repaired.

Teresa Rutherford Rhoderick: I remember this place, all the older guys hung out there, Mr Chin a neighbor on Brunswick st was a regular,,, it was a sad day when it burnt down.

Gail L Miller: Oh my I remember going in his store and the smell of glue was everywhere. He was a very nice man and worked very hard.
