Contract for Little Jimmy Dickens and his Country Boys at the old Brunswick fire hall for September 4, 1952.
Jimmy stood all of 4'11" tall and was well known for his rhinestone-studded outfits for which he was an early influencer. Before his death in 2015 at age 94, he was the oldest living member of the Grand Ole Opry.
Does anyone remember seeing Little Jimmy and his band at the fire hall and if there were return engagements? Other country legends like Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones and Stringbean also played in Brunswick whether at the fire hall, Imperial Theater or Summer carnivals across from City Park.
