According to Bill Mohler in the 2012 Smithsonian "Journey Stories" movie, Myer Kaplon often claimed to have been in charge of the store windows, but the moving force was his sister Fanny, who often traveled to New York to study the famous department stores on 5th Avenue. She brought that style back to Brunswick.
