Jo leaves behind her truly and dearly loved family, son Dan Walters, Leesburg, VA, daughter and son in law, Donna and Harold Ryland, Lansdowne, VA, and grandson Joshua Ryland, Portland, ME.

Mom was a loving, devoted, compassionate and caring Mom, always providing deep love, support, laughter and fun which will be cherished forever. She was a devout Christian and a very active lady who loved family time, walking, playing games, music, dancing, baking, shopping and the beach. Sea Colony in Bethany Beach, DE was her favorite place to spend time away with family. She was a very generous lady, often helping those in need. She valued her friends dearly and thoroughly enjoyed her Lansdowne Woods community. She especially loved her moniker “The Walker” as she was often seen walking throughout the community.

She retired from a career as a bookkeeper for a variety of companies where she was always highly valued. Throughout her professional career she established many friendships.

Jo prayed for people of the earth to have food, especially during the pandemic. In answer to her prayers contributions can be made to Loudoun Hunger Relief or your local food bank.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
