At its heart is the historic general store building. William C. Marker erected the store in the early 1900s. This photo was taken in 1933 when it was still under the operation of Dora Marker soon before it was sold to Edwin and Mary Freed. The Marker Family farmed the adjoining land and William's son, Dora managed the store. Dora's wife, Mabel Fern Marker was a school teacher at...
