On Sunday July 21st, Mayor Jeff Snoots welcomed Senator Doug Peters from Prince George’s County to Brunswick.
Senator Peters is the chairman of the state capital budget committee. Mayor Snoots and City Administrator, Dave Dunn met with the Senator this past spring regarding requested funds which the city requested and received.
Mayor Snoots, City Administrator Dave Dunn , Senator Michael Hough and members of the city finance committee met with the Senator to discuss city projects and possible further funding from the state.
“ The meeting was very productive. Senator Peters and Hough shared very good information “ said Mayor Snoots.
“ We have to continue making the necessary connections with key state lawmakers to make our needs know to the state.”
“ I continue to say if the city doesn’t ask for funding for projects, the funds will go to others who do.”
Senator Peters enjoyed his visit to Brunswick.
