Summary

On Veterans Day, the Brunswick Heritage Museum was visited by a special group , our local Girl Scout -Brownies.

Brakeman Jim gave the girls a tour of the Old Red Men Hall (the Museum Building). In the C&O Canal section, Brakeman Jim passed around copies of the Whistle (The BHS Newspaper) from the 1940's in which former students were writing home from WWII. Members of the group also got to hold a BHS class pin from 1946 and a BHS gold "B", recently donated to the Museum. The group sang the BHS Alma Mater.

The group toured the second floor and recited the poem "I'm Going Back to Brunswick". The highlight of the evening was the watching the model trains on the third floor while singing, "I've Been Working on the Railroad".

We don't know who enjoyed the event more, the scouts or Brakeman Jim but everyone in attendance had a great time.
