Summary

This photo is from 2001 and shows the members the Needlework Club. Needlework is a broad term for the art or practice of decorative sewing, embroidery handicrafts and other textile arts. Anything that uses a needle for construction can be called needlework. This definition may be expanded to include related textile crafts such as a crochet hook, embroidery, "Sashiko" (a Japanese embroidery technique), counted cross stitch and crewel (embroidery using wool traditionally stitched on linen). Similar abilities often transfer well between the different varieties of needlework, such as fine motor skill and a knowledge of textile fibers. Disclaimer - there was no description in the yearbook for the Needlework Club so the above information was derived from other sources. Perhaps Anne Zumbach or member of the club can provide more specific information. Front Row (L to R) -Sharon Chen, Chelsea Frank Second Row - Anne Zumbach (Advisor), Sarah Stone, Lisa Baker, Lily O'Brien Third Row - Samantha Remsburg, Nora Ibrahim, Stacy Schrott, Stacy Livesay Top Row - Jessica Varelli, Becky Cramer, Kristen Ridlen, Jen Van Gilder, Jessica Rucker
