Summary

Bessie Shelton & Lena Troxell behind the Shelton's home on N. Virginia Avenue overlooking the approach to the bridge and across to Maryland Avenue on the right, W. B Street and Wenner's Hill on the left. The Troxell's house is directly behind Mrs. Shelton. Written on the back of the photo is "Palm Sunday, 1961."

Jacquelyn Ebersole: Those hats are exact replica's of the ones my grandmother (in Ohio)wore in the yard when the sun was shining. Hanging clothes on the line, Weeding the garden. Playing with Grandchildren. They were protective of their skin.
