Summary

Potomac Street circa 1920s. The first floor of the Red Men's Hall (at the corner) housed the Post office, and in the middle a Piggly Wiggly Grocers. The double doors were the entrance to the stairs and basement which were all used by the Improved Order of Red Men.

Also note the inset entrance on the eastern third of the Newberry's Building, and the point on the top of the Horine building.

Phil Lowery Back in the early 60's my Uncle Charlie and Aunt Rachel Dinterman would park their car down town across from Payne's Pharmacy or near there and just sit in the car watching cars and people go by. People they knew would stop and talk with them while they sat there. This was their weekend intertainment. Didn't cost much.
