Summary

This photo is from the 1992 BHS Yearbook and shows the members of the 1991 Prom Court. The theme of the Prom was "Captured in a Dream" and the gym was transformed into a dream-like place including a castle.

Each year the Prom is put on by the Junior Class and one of the most important aspects of the each year is raising funds for the Prom. Towards that effort, Juniors start off with candy sales for Christmas and Valentine's Day along with the food canteen operated during sporting events, especially at basketball games.

As class advisor Lee Zumbach remarked in the yearbook, "Proms have been costing around five thousand dollars lately" so fund raising is an activity that starts in ninth grade and continues each year as a class moves toward its Junior year.

I was always amazed how hardworking students could turn the gym into a venue fitting for a prom filled with students all decked out in their clothes ;=)!
