Summary

The artist Raymond G. Barger with a display of his fine sculptures in the Kaplon Building in the early 1970s. Mr. Barger grew up poor in New Addition, but became a world renowned sculptor. His sculpture of "The Goddess of Perfection" was featured in the Heinz Pavilion at the 1939 New York World's Fair.

His piece "The Warped Wheel", which he donated to his hometown is now on display in front of the Brunswick Community Library. Before it was moved to the library in 2011, it resided on a section of track in the Brunswick railyards.
