Summary
Reverend Luther Martin was organizer of the first Boys Scouts of America troop i n Brunswick. In 1907 he built and presided over the Presbyterian church at 404 A Street. After the Church disbanded in 1918, Reverend Martin continued to preach at the YMCA. The old church became a home and was later razed before the property was bought by Christian Missionary Alliance Church. The parish remained there until it moved to a new church in Rosemont in the 1970s.
Most famously, Reverend Martin authored the poem "I am going back to Brunswick (A Brunswick Boy's Resolve)".
