This photo is from the 1992-93 BHS Yearbook and shows the members of the Girls Softball Team.
Playing softball is a sport that girls can continued in college perhaps even earning a scholarship, but it is not going to eventually lead the signing of a Major League contract. But it is an avenue for high school girls to compete athletically in a sport while providing them with a sense of being a member of a team striving for a goal - winning games.
Although the team's record that year was not exactly stellar winning only three games for the season, player Lindy McMurray put it best when she was quoted in the yearbook as saying "Although we didn't always win … we still had a blast."
