Summary

In December 2019, Dr. Wayne Allgaier, a member of the Brunswick History Commission, was asked to do some research on the people whose names are on the stained glass windows of Beans in the Belfry (formerly the German Reformed Church). Within a few months he had gathered enough information to write a 40-page booklet describing a brief history of the stained glass windows and the people who had been memorialized in 8 of those windows. A copy of that booklet is available for visitors at Beans to read. The complete booklet can also be found on the Brunswick History Commissions webpage at www.brunswickmdhistory.com. In addition, working with Melanie DiPasquale and Melissa Allgaier, QR cards have been placed by each of the windows, so anyone with a QR reader on their handheld device can get a brief history-at-a-glance of each of the individuals whose names are on the windows. All are invited to drop by and learn about these people who played an important role in the history of early Brunswick
