Even though this was an unseasonably balmy Veterans' Day Parade in November 1961, the 3rd Infantry Old Guard Fife & Drum Corps of Ft. Myer, VA works for the 4th of July. 

Can you pick out any of the spectators shown here on W. Potomac Street? We’ve identified Finks Heffner standing, holding daughter Karen, and wife Oneida in the middle of the street facing the camera. Daughter Lavonne Heffner is standing in front of her parents. Her brother Larry is sitting on the curb. 
The photo was taken in front of the S.W. George hardware store.
