Smoketown History (Brunswick, Md.) Phil Lowery commented," This picture is Mark Hoke on the far left, Lanny Harrington in the center and Richard Harrington on the right. Lanny and Richard are brothers and their father was the brother of Bill Harrington who owned the shoe repair shop. I had two pictures and Hoke was in the middle in one of the pictures."

Bill Eshbaugh: This was taken in 1994 when Lanny Harrington was the Grand Marshall and Mark Hoke was the keynote speaker. It was the 1st year the American Legion didn't sponsor the parade. Tim and Angela Phillips and a handful of volunteers stepped up and salvaged the parade when the Legion, after 61 consecutive years of great parades, announced they no longer had the manpower to handle it.
