Summary

Mrs. Mary Phillips standing in front of Wenner's Hill Market in the early Sixties. She was the familiar face behind the counter at Eleanor Wenner's store on the corner of N. Maple Avenue & G Street for several years until it closed around 1967.

Strong women most always managed this store for Mrs. Wenner. Tater Rosen managed it for many years before Mary. The store was opened by W.B. Wenner across the street from the family farm in 1922.

Jo Jamison: I loved going there when Tater ran the store. More than once she put my hair in long curls using rags or a type of lead from the RR.

Arlene Himes: Remember that very well knew Tater and Gene Rosen for many years he use to play ball with my father in law.
