Howard was an insurance agent for 47 years, rising to the rank of regional vice-president of Home Mutual Life, now known as Baltimore Life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served his country during World War II. | |||
Howard was a member of the Moose Lodge, the American Legion, the Elks Lodge, and the VFW, where he walked 18 holes of golf and played daily until he turned 88. | |||
He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie "Kinze" Levy and husband, Bernie, of Frederick; son Mike "Rocky" Ambrose and wife, Tammy, of Jefferson; three grandchildren, Bryon Willard, and Colby and Blake Ambrose; five great-grandchildren, Tristan Geddy, Katelyn Willard, Kylee Willard, Bryon Willard, and Kayla Willard. | |||
He will be remembered by his former wife and mother of his children, Emma E. Ambrose of Frederick. | |||
He was predeceased by two brothers. | |||
Howard will now spend eternity dancing with the love of his life, Betty Lou. | |||
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 15. Officiating will be the Rev. Tim May. | |||
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. | |||
