Note the decaying factory buildings between the railroad and river in what was supposed to have been the cotton mill complex in the 1850s when Caspar Wever's great vision started to fail. The buildings served as a hospital for Union troops during the Civil War and was later a place where cockfights were staged. Some clues, as to the date.
