Summary

Here is a vintage postcard of the old Hawaiian Nightclub. Since there is no exchange listed for the phone number on the back of the card (see the comments below), this postcard likely dates back to the 1950s, when the Hawaiian was in its heyday.

There was an orchestra on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Dancing every night. The seating capacity was 250

The mural of the Harper's Ferry tunnel on the right was reportedly painted by a hobo who was passing through, in exchange for a motel room. It's still there!

Gary Main Sr. Great memories of the Hawaiian. Grew up there my parents operated it from 1942 until 1968. Jr and Pat Main.

Anna Rentzel Woody Free played music there for years, always drew a big crowd, proud to say he was my Uncle. I was a waitress there in the late 50's, early 60's. Started out at $1.75 an hour!!!!!!!

Arthur Porter My mother Madeline worked there for about 20 years starting at about 1950 for the most part. She loved working there.

Winnie Hane I worked there back in early 90s, Woody, and his Orchestra right there.
