Assistant coaches Gene Foltz and Butch Gaither flank head coach Herb Daugherty. The first head coach of football at Brunswick High, Coach Daugherty was starting his 3rd season. All were remembered as tough, but fair coaches. With the help of others, Herb Daugherty brought Football to BHS starting with the 1968-69 school year.
