This was Grace Reformed Church in Knoxville. It was built in the 1848 and used as a field hospital during the Maryland Campaign of 1862.
According to Jody Brumage, "the church was originally built in Weverton. It was used as a hospital and badly damaged. According to records, the congregation disbanded after the Civil War. Rev. William Wire, pastor of Saint Paul’s, Burkittsville, began holding services in a schoolhouse in Knoxville which formed into Trinity Church. In the 1870s, the old Weverton Church was dismantled and rebuilt in Knoxville for the congregation. The Reformed Church was located in Knoxville for its entire existence."
