This is the tiny slave quarters on the old Oakland Estate, now Crown Rose Estate, on Route 180 in Petersville. The Frederick County historic registry for the property lists this as a spring house that was built in the mid-19th century and that "there is evidence it likely served as a residential slave quarters."
