To The president and Directors of C & o C Co.
Sirs:
I am desirous to erect a building along the line bank at the lock at this place for the purpose of keeping a feed & grocery store, (excepting liquor) for the accommodating boatmen.
My appeal in asking you this is respectfully hoping that your permission to erect the same. An early answer is decided at the same time hoping my request will be granted.
