At the request of Mary E. House the following Deed was recorded June 18,

1857. This Deed made the twenty-fifth day of May in the year Eighteen hundred and fifty-seven by Mary Elizabeth Watkins, widow of Washington Ridenbaugh, deceased, Jacob Ridenbaugh, and Eveline Ridenbaugh, his wife, Eliza Ray, formerly Ridenbaugh, John Rench, and Margaret Rench, formerly Ridenbaugh, his wife, and Adam Ridenbaugh, and Mary Ann, his wife, of Frederick County, State of Maryland. Witnesseth that in consideration that in the sum of Forty dollars heretofore paid and discharged the said parties grantors do grant unto Mary Elizabeth House, formerly Ridenbaugh, wife of Lawson House, all that lot of ground lying in the town of Berlin in Frederick County aforesaid being the half of the lot known and designated on the plat of said town as number Seventy Six with the buildings thereon being the same lot or half lot that was conveyed to the same Washington Ridenbaugh, Robert Boone and wife, by deed bearing date the Twenty-Eighth day of May, Eighteen hundred and thirty-six and then occupied and possessed by the said Washington Ridenbaugh and thereafter sold by the said Washington Ridenbaugh and possession delivered upon payment of the purchase money above recited to the said Lawson House and Mary Elizabeth House, his wife.
