running thence (1st) North Seventy three degrees, ten minutes

West, Sixty four chains and a half-chain to a stone planted ( 2:) north Sixty eight degrees, twenty five minutes West, three Chains and thirty nine hundredths of a chain to a stone planted (3:) north sixty three degrees forty minutes West, twelve chains and fifty eight hundredths of a chain to a stone planted on the divisional line between said Emerentienne Corbally and the heirs of Spingan ,Bolete�, then with said divisional line to the low water mark of the Potomac river, then down and with the meanders of the said river at low water mark to its intersection at the low water mark thereof with the divisional line between said Emerentienne Corbally and the aforesaid town lots of Berlin, then with said divisional line to the place of Beginning, continuing forty eight acres of land, the distances aforesaid being given in four pole chains. And the jurors aforesaid, upon their oath aforesaid, being· met upon the said land and having carefully examined the same, do say that they value the said land at the sum of thirty dollars, per acre; and all the damages, which the said Emerentienne Corbally will sustain as owner of said land by cutting the said canal through the same and by the use and occupation thereof by the said Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company in perpetuity at the Sum of Fourteen Hundred and Forty Dollars, which is thereupon hereby awarded to the said Emerentienne Corbally for her damages in which she will sustain as aforesaid. In testimony whereof, We, the, subscribers, being the Sheriff and Jurors aforesaid, have thereto set our hand and seals, the day and year first above written: �

In Frederick County Court, February Term 1832. On motion of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, by Benjamin Price, its attorney, it is adjudged and ordered, by the Court this 14th day of June 1832 that the foregoing Inquisition be and the same is hereby affirmed and that it be recorded, no good cause being shown to the contrary and the proceedings appearing to
