Potomac Street and Jordan House on Maryland Avenue above the station create an L-shaped perimeter that remains today. Fast Eddie's operated at this location until the 1990s and was known for it's delicious fried chicken and potato wedges. Potomac Street in 1982 when it was in its dying days as the railroad decreased its operations in Brunswick. Newberry's was still in business next door to the museum. Brunswick Market occupied the space where the Acme and Roelke's once operated. At the time, Jerry's Liquors was next door to the market.
